Description

V4 Weathered Beam Engineered Oak Flooring, Rustic, Hand finished, Brushed & UV Hardwax Oiled, 190x15x1900 mm can be installed as a floating floor or fully bonded to the subfloor with flooring adhesive. It Is ideal to use underfloor heating.

The surface of this board is given various treatments including cross sawing and hand scraping with traditional tools, the timber is selected for it character filled knots and natural blemished which are filled and then sanded individually to leave open knots and holes which give the appearance of an aged and weathered plank.

The Weathered Beam top layer is given a deep sheen with the application of different colour oils which are UV cured to build up a natural protective surface.

This floor is finished with coats of hard wax oil which keeps the hardwood surface protected from stains and wear whilst maintaining a natural look and feel.

Flooring must not be exposed to excessive heat such as from hot water pipes below floors.

An engineered floor can be installed as floating floors over underlay or fully bonded using adhesives.

To achieve the desired mix of colours, shades and other characteristics in the final floor, and to avoid clusters of characteristics such as knots, the contents of multiple packs should be mixed during installation.

Engineered wood flooring may be installed as a floating floor, which means that the boards are joined together and loose laid over the subfloor, instead of being fully bonded with adhesive or secret nailed.
