Description

V4 Barley Field Engineered Oak Flooring, Rustic, Stained, Handscraped, Distressed & Hardwax Oiled, 240x15x2200 mm can be unstalled as a floating floor or fully bonded to the subfloor with flooring adhesive. It is ideal for use over underfloor heating.

This floor is finished with coats of hardwax oil which keeps the hardwood surface protected from stains and wear whilst maintaining a natural look and feel.

Extra wide engineered European oak planks are finished by skilled craftsmen using traditional hand tools to plane and scrape the oak surface following the natural contours of the grain. Tool marks are deliberately made to add extra character to the undulating surface which is further accentuated with muted natural colours and finished with hard wax oils.

Flooring must not be exposed to excess heat such as from hot water pipes below floors. The subfloor is key to a successful installation and will help ensure your floor performs to its very best. The subfloor is likely to be either wooden or a cement based screed.

Engineered wood flooring may be installed as a floating floor, which means that the boards are joined together and loose laid over the subfloor instead of being fully bonded with adhesive or secret nailed.

V4 Wood Flooring is chosen for its natural beauty, therefore grading criteria is always an apporiximation as every piece of timber is different. Engineered wood flooring may be installed direct to concrete or sandcement screed sub-floors, or to suitable wood based sub-floors by fully-bonding with a purpose made permanently flexible adhesive.

To achieve the desired mix of colours, shades and other characteristics in the final floor, and to avoid clusters of characteristics such as knots, the contents of multiple packs should be mixed during installation.

Avoid grouping similar colours and grain pattern by not mixing the planks before installation areas of dark and light planks can look patchy and out of place.

1 pack contents: 5 Boards - May include 1 split length
