Ash grows naturally in mixed-wood forests. Its strong graining pattern displays striking character and rich golden tones varying from very light to medium brown. Adding a white hue to Ash softens the species' natural amber appearance. The hearty graining pattern remains vivid beneath the added colouring.
Light Ash has a fine and light expression with a characteristic, dark grain pattern; over time. With its strength properties and elegant, light appearance, ash is greatly appreciated as flooring wood and in interior design in general.
Variation grade is the unique name that Junckers have given to their rustic-grade products. This grade has a rustic look with substantial colour and structural graining variation between the individual staves. Several small and large knots and fine hairline splits occur.
Each board is assembled from two rows of staves by a glued double dovetail construction. Each board is tongued and grooved on all four sides.
