For extremely extended life, aluminium oxide abrasive employs a strong E weight "crack resistant" paper backing that has been electrocoated and is completely resin-over-resin bonded with aluminium oxide grit. It is designed to be used as a heavy-duty abrasive for hand sanding as well as general-purpose machine sanding of wood in orbital sanders, such as sheet and palm sanders, for the preparation of paint in the decorating industry.
