Hints of cinnamon are shot through with a deep-grey grain on this single-strip Kahrs Ombra Engineered Oak Flooring, Light Smoked, Brushed & Oiled, 187x15x2420mm from the Boardwalk Collection. Each board has been hand brushed to bring out the grain and enhance the generous scattering of knots. Four-sided beveling created a classic full plank look.
This flooring should be oiled immediately after installation. Package may contain start and stop boards. All naturally occurring wood colour variations allowed, from light to dark brown. Sapwood may occur. The product includes large sound and black knots. Knots, fillings and cracks will be present in all sizes and numbers.
Kahrs Woodloc and Woodloc 5S joints produce tight, barely visible joints, which is also an advantage in cleaning and maintenance. The elasticity of Kahrs surface treatment is designed to follow the wood's natural movements between summer and winter, whether the boards are lacquered or oiled. All this means is that a Kahrs floor is easy to maintain.
Stained products lose their original colour when their surfaces are renovated. This should be borne in mind when maintaining the floor. Materials used for maintenance are uncoloured.
