V4 Deco Parquet, Brushed Matt Engineered Oak Flooring, Rustic, Brushed & Matt Lacquered, 90x14x400mm can be installed fully bonded over any subfloor, those with underfloor heating systems.
Flooring must not be exposed to excessive heat such as from hot water pipes below floors. The subfloor is key to a successful installation and will help ensure your floor performs to its very best. The subfloor is likely to be either wooden or a cement-based screed.
Unlike traditional parquet blocks, this floor is engineered with a 3mm oak wear layer with bevelled edges bonded to a hardwood ply base, which means they can be bonded to any flat surface including over low energy underfloor heating systems. Their unique sizing means they can be installed in many different patterns.
The wear layer is steel brushed to produce a textured surface which follows the natural grain which is sealed with a durable natural lacquer.
This floor is finished with coats of natural UV oil which keeps the hardwood surface protected from stains and wear whilst maintaining a natural look and feel.
V4 Wood Flooring is chosen for its natural beauty, therefore grading criteria is always an approximation as every piece of timber is different.
To achieve the desired mix of colours, shades and other characteristics in the final floor, and to avoid clusters of characteristics such as knots, the contents of multiple packs should be mixed during installation.
Avoid grouping similar colours and grain pattern by not mixing the planks before installation areas of dark and light planks can look patchy and out of place.
Engineered wood flooring may be installed directly to concrete or sand-cement screed sub-floors, or to suitable wood-based sub-floors by fully-bonding with a purpose-made permanently flexible adhesive.
